Kettering School Of Boxing
61 High Street, Kettering, Northamptonshire NN16 8SY

Kettering School of Boxing was formed in the late 1990s by club secretary Clive Hall and head coach Clive Hogben and has grown from strength to strength. The clubs mission statement of "Working within the community with champions in the making" is a fitting one.

The only promise we make is to improve your skill and technique and help you achieve whatever you are physically capable of. All coaches have boxed under the tuition of Clive Hogben and follow the same routines and technical drills that have been honed since 1977 when he started coaching. He gleaned his knowledge built up during his boxing career under both codes from very wise trainers that included Clive Hall, Frank Osullivan, Mick Carney, Billy Webster, John Dryden and Reg Steele.

Initially a competition boxing club that welcomes all from different social classes and cultures to develop the qualities that are required to box at all levels, teaching boxing skills to add with the determination and courage that is required to compete.

Character building inside and outside the ring is very much part of the process that takes time, but the results so far since 2001 are 90 regional champions, 34 nation finalists, 28 national titles, 15 GB medals, 6 European Medals (3 gold), 78 international vests and Worlds no.1 rated under 19 bantamweight.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER AND THE STRENGTH OF A CLUB IS THE SPIRIT WITHIN ITS WALLS AND KETTERING SCHOOL OF BOXING'S SECRET IS IN ITS NAME, WE TEACH.
